A Faith for the Times
Preface
These addresses have been preached in Churches throughout the British
Isles but I do not apologise for now publishing them, believing that
many of them contain a biblical message 'for the hour' and a 'Faith
for the Times'.
The late Dr. Joseph Parker was once asked if he ever preached old
sermons. 'No,' he replied, 'but I never hesitate to repeat new ones!'
These are new ones now in print!
When I was a member of the Westminster Fellowship at Westminster
Chapel in the late 1960s, the late Dr. Martyn Lloyd-Jones once
remarked to me, then a young Pastor, 'Do everything you can to get
the biblical message into print. You will reach more people and that
is what is needed today – the biblical message.'
It has taken a long time to get my biblical message into print but I
trust the book will bear some fruit to the glory of His Name.
